DealSpy ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the DealSpy mobile application ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name
• Profile photo URL (if you sign in with Google)

When you use the App, we collect:

• Comments you post on deals
• Deals you add to your wishlist
• Deals you like

b) Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we automatically collect:

• Deal view counts (which deals you open)
• Basic device information provided by Firebase Analytics
• App crash and performance data

c) Information We Do NOT Collect

DealSpy does NOT collect:

• Payment or financial information (we do not process any transactions)
• Precise geolocation data
• Phone number
• Contacts or address book
• Photos or files from your device
• Browsing history outside of the App

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the App
• Display your comments, likes, and wishlist within the App
• Sync your wishlist across devices when you are signed in
• Show deal popularity through aggregated view and like counts
• Improve the App's features and user experience
• Monitor for abuse, spam, and Terms of Use violations
• Respond to support requests

3. How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored using the following services:

• Firebase Authentication (Google) — stores your account credentials securely
• Cloud Firestore (Google Cloud) — stores your wishlist, comments, likes, and deal interaction data
• Local device storage (SharedPreferences) — stores app settings and a local copy of your wishlist for offline access

All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/SSL encryption.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We may share data with the following service providers who help us operate the App:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and analytics infrastructure
• Google Sign-In — optional sign-in method

These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

5. Third-Party Links

The App contains links to third-party marketplaces (such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, eBay, and others). When you click on a deal link and leave the App, you are subject to that third-party's privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party website or service.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit through our deal links.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. Specifically:

• Account data is retained until you delete your account
• Comments remain visible until you delete them or we remove them
• Like and view data is retained as aggregated counts on deals
• Local device data can be cleared by uninstalling the App or clearing the App cache

When you delete your account, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access — You can view your profile information within the App
• Deletion — You can delete your account from the Profile page, which removes your personal data
• Comment deletion — You can delete your own comments at any time
• Wishlist management — You can add or remove deals from your wishlist at any time
• Data export — You can request a copy of your data by emailing us at pythonappsw@gmail.com
• Guest mode — You can use the App without creating an account, in which case we collect minimal data (view counts only)

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL)
• Firebase Security Rules that restrict data access
• Authentication requirements for sensitive operations

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App, and the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
